Spring 2009

I thought I would share what we did this spring given that we have now officially welcomed SUMMER! Starting on a sad note we said goodbye to our wonderfull Grandma Lassen who we all loved and spent a lot of time with. The kids still talk about her and have a lot of confusion and sadness, they were very close to her and were able to spend time with her. She passed away from a long fought out battle with Leukemia I have never met anyone with such strength and love,we love you Grandma.

We were able to go to Disneyland which was a great time had by all. We were gone for seven days in April and we went to Disneyland for six days straight, we were able to spend great quality time with our family. I would love to go back every year if we could but I think it will be more like every two to three years.

Jackson and Conner celebrated their 5th and 6th birthday and we had a great party for them as always.

In May for Memorial day we had a barbque at our Aunt Terry's house and we also had the opportunity to spend some time in Park city that was a lot of fun the kids loved it!

Jackson gradutated from kindergarten which was a big to do and did a great job in his program. Conner graduated from preschool. He really misses school and wants to go back. Jackson had his first spring soccer experience and after that was over was able to start T ball which he really enjoys. I would have to say we have had a very eventful Spring I am sure there is more but this is what sticks out the most.

My crazy Conner

For some reason Conner has always had a hard time going to sleep. Once he turned 2 and was in a "BIG BOY" bed he would sometimes wander the house, this does not happen every night but once and a while. Tonight I found him asleep behind our chair in our room. When he does this he will talk to Jackson until Jackson gives up and falls asleep then he starts to talk to himself, then he will find a place in the house and fall asleep. We have found him in several locations around our house. When we get upstairs we never know what we are going to find. We love our Conner.

Fathers Day

Just wanted to take a few minutes to express how thankful I am that our kids have such a great Dad. They might not always see eye to eye with their Dad, but they look forward to each day when he comes home and all they want to do is spend time with there Dad. They love to wrestle with him and play games with him. They love it when he tells them bed time stories we are very thankful for having him in our lives. Thanks Mike and we hope you have a great Fathers Day because you deserve it!

Bubble Bath

After being in the rain the kids were soaked and a little cold. So we let them go in and have a bubble bath in our big tub, they had a great time and could have stayed in there forever. Jackson loved to put the bubbles on his face and say "Does it look like I need to shave" he thought he was so funny. We knew Max was done once he splashed a lot of water out. Simple fun that the kids absolutely loved!

Rainy Day

We decided to let the kids go out today and play in the rain. Given the fact that is all it has been doing lately, and they loved every minute of it. In fact Jackson said that, " this is the best day of my life" he gets so excited about things. Overall it was a great time had by all.

Max Is Mobile

Max is finally on the move after I have been worried about him. He started crawling and standing up on furniture 2 weeks ago and hasn't stopped. Some mom's might dread this new development but not me I am glad that he has met this very important milestone! He loves to move around the house and in this picture he moved from the family room to the kitchen and is loving every moment of his movement.

Brittaney and Mike's Blogging Adventures

We are spending some time figuring out how to add fotos, format them etc. Brittaney is enjoying blogging and just needs occasion help in the formatting, technical type aspects. I love the fact that she is able to do something that shares our family with others.

Pregnancy

This is a subject that I am very familar with, Since I have been pregnant for the last 3 years I am very ready for this phase of my life to be over. I don't want anyone to think that I am not very greatful for the great oportunity I have had to have kids that is all I have wanted my whole life and didn't know If I would ever have the chance. It is an amazing experience and wouldn't trade it for anything my kids are amazing and I couldn't ask for anything better then to be a Mom. I just am ready to pass on the torch to all of those other women who will be having kids and I watch from the sidelines and support them anyway I can. I Have decided in the last couple of months of pregnancy I am going to enjoy this pregnancy due to the fact it is my last! And I would also like to take this time to thank everyone especially my kids and husband for putting up with me and my crazy awful behavior while being pregnant. this is just been on my mind the last couple of days so I thought I would put it in words and post it.

Potty Training

This is something I look forward to and dread all at the same time, We started potty training Grayson 2 weeks ago and the first week went really well now not so much. He will pee his pants and come to me and laugh and proceed to say I peed! Needless to say he is the only one who finds this funny, I know he is ready he just loves to be the center of attention and this is his way of getting it I am hoping for a much better week we will see.

Summer

Summer is very hard the kids seem to think they need to be entertained at all times which can be very draining. I have started doing school with Jackson and Conner and it has worked out really well it is both fun for me and them. But, where do I feel in the blanks my kids will not just go play outside they need me there at all times. What to do I am not sure hopefully I will figure it out sooner then later.

Brittaney and Michael's Glorious Blogging Experience

The previous Blog Post was written by Britt and posted, edited etc by Mike. We are trying to find things that we can do together that both of us can enjoy. I think it is kind of fun. I might have to start my own blog and address all kinds of random issues. Lets see where this takes us.

Grayson

I never realized how hard it was to be a mom until I have experienced Grayson he is a very active little boy or you can call him "curious"as my Grandma would always say. He never stops he is always into something and I really just can't keep up! Today in just a minute he got into our medicine cabinet he finished off the childrens Motrin which wasn't much, ate the rest of the Zicam which I tried to get him to spit it out and he refused, I called poison control and they said it was no big deal! It was to me and even though I had the gates up in the kitchen he still managed to climb over the bar and get into the top cabinets. I immediatly went to Wal-Mart bought locks and put all the medicine in the cabinets over the stove hopefully that will solve the problem. He can open child proof bottles and sometime I wonder what he can't do. The only thing that keeps me from going crazy is that he is so darn cute!
